Our archetier partners include some of the best bow makers and restorers in the world. We work with them to provide high quality services from simple rehairs to more extensive bow repairs & restorations.
Our expert staff are highly experienced in both the appraisal and restoration of fine violin bows. Our aim is to provide you with a professional and reliable service at competitive rates.
We offer a top-quality rehair service together with repair and extensive restoration of all bows, including Baroque and Double Bass. We are always happy to advise and quote, and liaise closely throughout the process with our clients.
We source the highest quality horse hair from around the globe. Our external expert carefully inspects each piece of hair and selects those with the best characteristics. Then, we sort the hair into bundles based on color, length, thickness, and overall appearance.
Our bow rehairs use the highest quality hair available and cost £90 inclusive of VAT.
Depending on availability, standard rehairs can take as little as 3 days, or up to 2 weeks during the busiest times of the year.
We generally advise a bow rehair every 6–12 months, depending on how much the bow is used. A bow rehair keeps your bow in good shape and improves its performance!
