    Description

    Maker: Stefan Hansen

    Model: Maker’s Own

    Year of construction: 2004

A beautiful viola, made by Master Luthier Stefan Hansen in Hamburg, Germany.

This viola has a body length of 41,7cm and is modelled by the maker himself. It is entirely made in Bosnian maple which was stored for 21 years. The large lower width supports the low frequency of the C string. The relatively narrow upper width and the proportionately shorter scale, e.g. the shorter vibrating string length make it easy to play, even for violists with smaller hands.

The viola has a strong sound and is very balanced in all areas – it would be ideally suited to a student or young professional.

The viola comes certified by the luthier.
