Adding to its unique charm, this cello carries a special name - “Sir John Temple Leader.” This name is an homage to a charismatic gentleman who lived in Florence in the 1800s and was deeply embedded in the artistic life of the city. Paolo wanted to pay tribute to his figure with this cello, connecting the instrument not only to the Vettori family's craftsmanship but also to the rich cultural heritage of Florence.
Paolo Vettori is one of the most established makers on our list and his stunning violins and cellos have been played by top musicians for years. He has a unique style and an innovative spirit which you can see reflected in his work. His craftsmanship is excellent and he produces very fine instruments. He works with his two sons, Dario and Lapo, and his daughter Sofia, all fine makers themselves. Together, the team at Vettori workshop creates some of the finest violins and cellos you'll ever hear. Their instruments are played by soloists as well as many orchestral principals due to their powerful and refined sound.
